    Stuck inside with bounds of energy? Stop by the library on Fridays for open winter play! We will have toys and movement activities in the community room and coffee for the adults! Meeting 1/23-2/27.

    The library is looking for a part-time library assistant due to an upcoming retirement. Will it be you?

    Job Summary: The Library Assistant’s primary role is to perform a variety of customer service, circulation, and technical services duties to ensure quality library service and a positive library atmosphere. The Library Assistant will also assist in other library tasks as needed.

    • Position: Library Assistant I
    • Reports to: Library Director
    • Beginning Date: After February 16
    • Hours: 8-10 hours per week
    • Pay: $14.50/hour

  • Winter Book Bingo | January 16-February 16
    Winter Book Bingo

    A simple reading challenge that incorporates the classic game of bingo. Your goal is to read books that match the prompts and mark them off your bingo card until you complete the challenge!

    Pick up your bingo card at the library. There is a child, teen, and adult book bingo bookmark. Turn in the bottom stub when you are done to be entered into a prize drawing for your category!

    Prizes can be viewed at the library.

Enjoy a cozy story, a craft, hot cocoa, and relaxation! Celebrations shared include Diwali, Makahiki Festival, Dia De Los Muertos, Hanukkah, Winter Solstice, Christmas, Kwanzaa, Carnaval, Chinese New Year, Ramadan, and Vesak.     Wizarding 101

    Third Saturday of the month! February 21 & March 21 | 9:30-10:15 am | For 3-5 grade.

    Do you like wizards, fantasy, and magic? Make a wand, wizarding hat, and potions in our 2-part program series in collaboration with 4H and UW-Extension! Third Saturday of the month. Kid wizards must attend all sessions to learn all their magical skills!

    Bookmarks meets on the third Thursday of the month at 5:30 pm, except for December (no meeting). Hosted at Dauntless Soul Brew Co. (130 E Main Street, Omro). Pick up a physical copy of the book at the Omro Public Library or find the book on Libby or Hoopla! All are welcome to join!

    Experience passes are a new item available for checkout at the Carter Memorial Library. We have passes that are available for:

    • *CLOSED FOR THE SEASON* Bookworm Gardens | family admission, up to two adults and unlimited children under 18 in the immediate household
    • Building For Kids Children’s Museum | family admission, up to two adults and unlimited children under 18 in the immediate household
    • Wisconsin Historical Society Sites | family admission, up to two adults and unlimited children under 18 in the immediate household
    • State Park Day Passes | day pass for admission of one car
    • Oshkosh Public Museum | family admission, up to two adults and unlimited children under 18 in the immediate household
    • NEW Children's Museum of Fond Du Lac | family admission, primary & secondary caregiver, up to 8 household children, and one adult guest accompanying household children
    • NEW Farm Wisconsin Discovery Center | family admission, up to two adults and four children under 18
    • NEW The Paine Art Center & Gardens | family admission, up to two adults and five youth (3-day pass during the month of December)
